Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's biopic BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG, based on the life of legendary athlete Milkha Singh, the country's national treasure, is now ready for viewing.Ī handful of films sprint that extra mile beyond providing meager entertainment to its spectators. A biopic on the life of legendary singer Kishore Kumar is on the cards, while the one on the 19th century artist, Raja Ravi Varma, is already complete. Another biopic on a sportsperson, Mary Kom, is currently taking shape… Biopics on gangsters have been attempted in the recent past. THE DIRTY PICTURE, on the life and times of an actress, too made waves. PAAN SINGH TOMAR not only won critical and commercial success, but fetched the most prestigious honor as well - National Award. THE LEGEND OF BHAGAT SINGH and BOSE: THE FORGOTTEN HERO won immense critical acclaim. Despite of its length and immense violence, it's watchable for the histrionics of Farhan Akhtar, who doesn't give even a single chance to blink.Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Review & Review Ratingīiopics are fast gaining popularity in Hindi movies and several conscientious film-makers are attempting movies based on the life events of iconic and distinguished personalities. Overall, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a true biopic that raises high standards of the Indian Cinema to an even higher level. Although it's a biopic, still you doubt how the Censor Board gave the film a clean U certificate despite of immense blood and gore. If not the scenes of narrative, then the violent scenes could have been trimmed. The film is quite lengthy, and a number of scenes and songs could have been easily chopped off. But still, a few things needed to be taken care of. Other actors, like Prakash Raj, Divya Dutta, etc do their parts well. Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra needs to be praised for choosing Farhan Akhtar as Milkha. His performance is the best I had seen in years and he does every scene with perfection. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a complete Farhan Akhtar film. I found that it was not the best, but a great film, which unfolds in a captivating manner. When I sat on to watch Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, I had good expectations that it would be the best biopic ever.

Movie: Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Rating: 3.5/5 I am not habitual of watching biopics but still I love to watch them.
